museum of architecture
Type: Studio Project, McGill University, Prof. Andrew King
Date: January to April 2009
Description: This project was used to frame the tension between the modern archeological view of history and the postmodern creation of narratives.
The building, sited atop an archeological dig in Old Montreal, consisted of a suspended gallery containing architectural artifacts overlooking a theater where selections of these artifacts would come through life in the format of the theater.
The intent was to highlight the elusive nature of the postmodern narrative when confronted with the concept of fact within the metanarrative.
