galileo theater
Type: Thesis Project, McGill University, Prof. Martin Bressani and Prof. Aaron Sprecher
Date: September to December 2009
Description: This thesis project was an exploration of the means by which architecture can connect a mathematical description of the world with the immediate human experience. The Galileo Theatre is a mobile research platform located in Antarctica. Its motions model the Earth-Sun system and dislocate the immediate environment in order to allow the researchers to inhabit the Newtonian Earth- Sun mathematical model by maintaining an a series of celestial alignments throughout the year.
